Cone Art Kilns Newsletter May 2, 2025

A word from our GM
Welcome to our first bi-monthly newsletter. These are exciting times at Cone Art 🙂

As you’ve discovered, we launched a new website during NCECA….it still needs a few tweaks as we update items and links, but we are super excited about it. It offers increased functionality, a “request for quote” option that allows you to “build a kiln” and have us link your request directly to the closest dealer for a price and availability, an interactive “find a dealer” page, a capacity guide to help folks decide which is just the right size for them, links to our videos, and so much more.

There is a hard copy print catalog for those of you that would like to flip through something tangible, and you can either download and print it, or request a copy and we’ll gladly mail one out to you.

During NCECA we picked up a few new dealers, and already have kilns now in stock at Laguna Clay in California, and on the way to Hobbyceramicraft in the UK. Shortly we will also have kilns on route to Israel, and a few other countries too – stay tuned for updates…and welcome Laguna and Hobbyceramicraft to the team – we look forward to working with you and helping your customers #countonconeart.

We also unveiled a new model at NCECA. With the hobby side of our industry growing so steadily, we decided it was time for a model that could run on less than 30 amps at both 240 and 208 volts…and the 1818D was developed. A True Cone 10 Kiln like all of our models, this little guy fires perfectly evenly from top to bottom on a single thermocouple thanks to our floor element. We’ve tested it many times at cones 04, 6, and 10 and are super pleased with the results. No matter what size your kiln is, it should be capable of the same things. This little guy is a champ, and we are pleased to add him to our line up.

Venting 101
